Posh Maternity aims to treat their customers with a small-town warmth while providing a big-city fashion sense. For the most part, the site’s product selection is average in terms of scope and price. Posh does feature a couple of “proud grandma” tees that you can deck your mom out in to let the world know about the pending arrival of the little one and her promotion to chief grandkid spoiler. The site says it has plus sizes, however when we tried to view that section, we were presented with a single dress and a request to call the store if we had any questions.
Posh Maternity has a nice community with a presence on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. The maternity store sponsors a monthly giveaway of a maternity or nursing product and there is also a blog connected to the site. We found that the various products that were mentioned on the blog had broken links so you couldn’t view them on the maternity store’s site. The site’s tools are limited to a gift registry and not much else.
Posh Maternity’s site design is in need of updating. The layout is cluttered and dated. With so much going on it’s really difficult to see all that the site has to offer. There isn’t a zoom feature on the product pages so you can’t get a good look at the detail on any product. And the images themselves run the gamut in terms of quality and clarity.
Posh handles help and support through email, FAQs pages, various phone numbers and sizing information. They also have a brick-and-mortar store in Springfield, Missouri.
Overall, we weren’t terribly impressed with Posh Maternity. From the sparse product offerings to the lack of tools and the confusing and cluttered site design, we’d recommend you check out the reviews of our highly-rated online maternity store: Due Maternity, Motherhood Maternity and Isabella Oliver for maternity clothing, community support and fun and useful tools to enjoy throughout your pregnancy.
